Lightweight fabric has a lightweight and elegant material style. Some materials have certain penetration sex appeal due to their lightweight. Most of them, whether silk fabrics, chemical fibre fabrics or blended fabrics, have good air permeability and moisture permeability, so they are mainly used in the production of summer clothes. Lightweight materials are often loose in structure, soft in texture and poor in dimensional stability. Cutting deformation, flat and straight seam lines, fabric shrinkage structure deformation, drape constraint and seam dispersion often occur in garment production. Therefore, in the face of lightweight fabric, attention should be paid to the following aspects:
(1) Lightweight fabric are especially easy to slide during cutting, resulting in uneven edges of clothing boards. In order to prevent the cutting piece from deforming, the fabric can be fixed on the paper of the same size. Attention should be paid to keeping the tightness of the fabric consistent in paving materials. Attention should be paid to horizontal and vertical blood filaments. Fixing pins should be selected at the edge of the fabric or clothing space. When the fabric is tightened, it can be properly cut at the edge of the cloth or pulled up at the edge of the cloth. For some high-grade light fabrics, in order to prevent the warp and weft warp from branching out or the upper and lower layers from dislocation, the fabric can be fixed on thin white cloth and then cut simultaneously with white cloth.
(2) During sample drawing, since the light fabric is relatively thin, mark the fabric with a hard sharp instrument to avoid scratching the cloth surface and mark the fabric surface with sample drawing powder to avoid leaving marks that are difficult to remove. For areas that must be marked, thread nails can be used.
(3) As for the sewing shown, due to various degrees of friction, the seam line trace will not be straight.
