What are the waterproof fabrics? At present, there are mainly four popular waterproof materials: PE, PU, TPU, and PTFE. Working principle: In the state of water vapor, the water particles are very small. According to the principle of capillary movement, they can smoothly penetrate the capillary to the other side, thereby causing vapor transmission. When the water vapor condenses and turns into water droplets, the particles become larger. Due to the surface tension of the water droplets (the water molecules "pull against each other"), the water molecules cannot smoothly escape from the water droplets and penetrate to the other side, which is to prevent The permeation of water occurs, giving the vapor permeable membrane a waterproof function.

The price of waterproof fabric?

The price of waterproof fabrics on the market ranges from a dozen yuan per meter to a few hundred yuan per meter. One reason why the price is so high is that the materials used to make waterproof fabrics are different. There are two common waterproof fabrics: nylon waterproof fabric and polyester waterproof fabric. Nylon waterproof fabric has good air permeability, but the windproof effect is poor. The price of waterproof fabric of this material is relatively low. Commonly used waterproof fabrics of this type are woven bags and shade cloth. Polyester waterproof fabric is characterized by first-class waterproof and windproof effects, but poor air permeability. The price of waterproof fabric of this material is relatively high. Commonly used waterproof fabrics of this type include chemical waterproof protection and diving suits.

How to wash waterproof cloth?

Waterproof fabrics are more resistant to stains. Many people in the family like to wear waterproof fabrics in autumn and winter. If they are dirty, add some detergent in the water, soak for 10 minutes and then gently use your hands for a few minutes, and finally rinse twice. It’s best not to put it in the sun, just dry it in a cool, ventilated place.

Waterproof fabric production process?

1. Preparation of the first slurry: take 2 parts by mass of dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride, 30 parts by mass of methyl ethyl ketone, 5 parts by mass of 1,6-diisocyanate hexane, and 90 parts by mass of polyurethane resin , 40 parts by mass of toluene, 55 parts by mass of water, and 6 parts by mass of N-methylethanolamine. After mixing them in proportions, they are passed through a 200-mesh nylon net, and then placed in a vacuum environment for 75 minutes.

2. Coat the surface of the basic cloth with the first slurry to form a primer layer, and then dry it at 100°C for 7 minutes.

3. Preparation of the second slurry: take 2 parts by mass of sodium lauramide ethyl sulfate, 130 parts by mass of polyurethane resin, 6 parts by mass of 1,6-diisocyanate hexane, 65 parts by mass of water, 19 parts by mass Parts of methyl ethyl ketone, 7 parts by mass of N-methylethanolamine, and 45 parts by mass of toluene are mixed in proportions, passed through a 200-mesh nylon net, and then allowed to stand in a vacuum environment for 75 minutes.
